Lucento was founded on a simple premise: your environment shapes your mind. We curate and create objects that bring clarity, calm, and utility to the modern sanctuary.
Our journey began in a small workshop in Nakameguro, Tokyo, where our founder, James Thorne, was studying traditional Japanese joinery. Obsessed with the concept of 'Ma' (negative space), he sought to combine this Eastern minimalism with his Scandinavian heritage.
Lucento creates a dialogue between these two design giants. We don't just sell furniture; we engineer atmosphere. Every curve, texture, and material is chosen to age gracefully, acquiring a patina that tells your unique story over time.
James Thorne, Founder
We only work with solid woods, natural stones, and unalloyed metals. No veneers that peel or plastics that yellow. We believe materials should get better with age, not worse.
From the quarry to your doorstep, we track every step. We publish our pricing breakdown and supplier locations because we have nothing to hide and everything to share.
Trends fade; good design is permanent. We reject seasonal fast fashion cycles in favor of permanent collections that can be repaired, not replaced.
